Where have 5 months gone?

Sawyer Reed is 5 months old! How can it be? He is getting so big. We have started rice cereal and he is finally sleeping better again. Hopefully it lasts! He is now completely rolling over, starting to enjoy sitting in his exersaucer, and has outgrown his swing. Look who I found sitting in it today!
Bronner had his 18 month check up today and weighed in at 27 lbs 10oz and is 32.5 inches long. He is in the 75% for his height and weight. He is doing great! We are going to start on some Zyrtec to see if that will help with the constant congestion. Hopefully it will. Dr S gave us a clean bill of health and we don't have to go back for 6 months!

My little garden is doing so good! My pepper plants are blooming and my zucchini have some buds that are about to bloom! I can't wait to see the finished product. Hopefully I can keep it alive that long! So far I have only lost one plant. I think that is a pretty good ratio! My daylilys have also started blooming. I love them! They are so pretty and how I wish they lasted more than a day!

Here are some more pics from the last few weeks! Hope you enjoy!

A Busy Week

This week was a busy one around our house! All the normal work, sleep during odd and normal hours, clean, laundry, chase/feed/diaper/discipline babies plus it was Caitlin's graduation from Samford. Jeremy's mom and dad came on Friday for the day and kept the kiddos while I went to a doctor's appt. All was well and NO Kelley we aren't preggo again ... yet! Jeremy and his dad also made a gate for the top of the stairs so that B can play outside on the deck without me worrying about him falling down the stairs. It is great and it matches perfectly! Saturday we spent the day at Samford and Cait's appt and the boys got to play with Karsyn and Carter. Corbin stayed home with Joey for some one on one time and I'm sure that they had a blast but we did miss them! We got some cute family pics at the SU campus and I will have to post them soon but the camera is elsewhere and I honestly don't feel like finding it and downloading the pics tonight! We also got to see Dee's new baby's u/s pics and video and they were so cute. He is definitely a boy! Today we spent the afternoon at the zoo and unfortunately got soaked on the way to the car but had a great time. B loved spending time with Mimi and Poppy and riding the carousel! All in all it had been a great weekend!

Our garden is coming along and all of our plants except one squash seem to be doing good. Hopefully the rain today and a little fertilizer tomorrow will perk it back up. I have a little bug that is eating my pepper leaves so I am going to have to get something to take care of that problem too but hopefully in the next few weeks we will see some major growing on those straw bales!

Well this week doesn't seem like it is going to slow down any but hopefully I will get time to post some pics!

Spring Time Fun

It has been a busy few weeks since I last blogged! I am going to try and be a lot better about this. My sis in law showed me a website that will print your blog into a book like a journal and I loved it so I am going to do my best to keep up and then print at the end of the year! I am so looking forward to it!

Anyways in the last few weeks Sawyer had his 4 month check up and everything went great. He got his shots and tolerated them well. No fever or anything. He was in the 95% for weight at 17lbs 2oz and 98% for height at 26 1/2 inches! He is a big boy with some chunky monkey cheeks and everybody loves it! He has started rolling over, "talking" more, and laughing. Bronner can make him laugh and it is so cute to watch them together. He is sitting in his bumbo and soon will be ready for his exersaucer. Bronner goes for his 18 month check up in a week or so and I am anxious to see where he falls. He has been gradually falling on the growth chart to a more normal weight/height but always in coordination with one another. I am guessing he will be about the 75%. He is growing like a little weed, has started running, minds well, and is really into being outside. We just bought him a little kiddy pool and tried it out this weekend at Neese's. Unfortunately he didn't love it. Maybe on a warmer day he will get into it! I hope he loves it so we can enjoy some outdoor time this summer! We have recently enjoyed trips to the zoo and the botanical gardens. Bronner loves the zoo and we hope to frequent there this summer! The gardens were gorgeous and we got some really cute pics!

We spent yesterday at Neese's for mother's day. Dyana and Jason were over and I got to see their u/s pics! I am so excited to find out if its a boy or girl! I'm pulling for a girl so I can get my bow and headband with the big flower fix! Although a boy would be fun too since he would be so close in age with our boys. Jeremy and Bronner braved the pool on Friday afternoon but Saturday it was to cold to get in. Maybe in a few more weeks it will warm up enough for us to enjoy some lazy Saturdays over there.
Today was Mother's day and it was great. It was our week to keep the nursery at church and then we went out to lunch. To the Mexican place we frequent almost every Sunday. Bronner and Jeremy then took at 2 hour nap and Sawyer and I played and nursed and napped a little too! It was great getting some one on one time with my baby. Jeremy and B then went to run some errands aka get mom a card :) while S and I enjoyed some time outside. We, really I, have started a straw bale garden. I read about the technique online and it looked easy and cheap so I gave it a try. You have to "prepare" your bales and then about 10 days later you plant. But supposedly you don't have weeds and such. We will see how it goes. I planted today and there are 2 tomato plants, 2 squash, 2 cantaloupes, a cucumber, some peppers, and a watermelon. I am so excited to see how it goes. I also know I have lived in AL to long because I have tomato plants planted in huge decorative pots by the front steps! But this is my reasoning 1. no one uses the front door 2. it gets the most sun and 3. who really cares if they taste good! I hope we get tons of tomatoes. I really would love to make some salsa to put up and maybe some marinara sauce. I know being adventurous but hey I have energy now that there is no baby in my belly!
This coming week is going to be a busy one. Mom and Dad are coming on Friday for Cait's graduation. I can't believe that she is graduating this weekend! I am excited for her and excited to see all the family that will be in town for the festivities! Well I promise more to come soon! I hope to blog weekly for myself more than anything. Really to journal our lives!

Random Thoughts.

These sweet boys are growing up right in front of my eyes! Bronner is now 16 months old and into everything! And we love it! He is so outgoing and full of personality. He really is becoming a sweet little boy and not the baby he once was. He definitely is starting to know what he likes and what he doesn't. He has recently learned that he can scream. Like really loudly! It gets on my nerves so bad. I don't know how to discipline this? We do spank ... only occasionally and for certain things ... I don't think this warrants spanking but a 16 month old doesn't do time out. What else can be done except saying no. It is really getting old fast!! Sawyer is growing up too. Now 3 months old and getting chunky! He almost weighs 15 lbs. I can't believe how fast life is flying bye!
Mimi and Poppy on a recent trip to Firebirds before leaving for UT for awhile!
I have been back at work for about a month now. Waterbirthing under my belt again and loving it! I love natural childbirth! I know I say that all the time but I do. I really wish I could quit my job and be a doula but we need insurance. Well maybe now in this new era of socialism we won't but who wants to rely on the government to supply all their needs? I guess that is a silly question. There are tons of people who do it everyday! So anyway. Dream job ... stay at home with my kiddos and doula about 3 births a month! It would be great. I love being the support person for a natural patient and the great thing about being a doula is you have no liability in the matter. You aren't the one sued if something goes terribly wrong!! The ONLY part of my job that I really don't like. I mean people think that Labor and Delivery is all fun and games ... that is until the unthinkable happens. The unthinkable has been happening at work all the time recently. Miscarriage is like one after the other. I don't know why or what is happening but please make it stop! I love the happy stories we are used to not the sad ones we have been seeing lately. It definitely makes me appreciate my two healthy children more and more but it also makes me think about my own miscarriage. Definitely the most devastating thing that has ever happened to us. It helped our marriage, made us closer, confirmed how badly we both really wanted to be parents, and many more things but I wouldn't wish it on anyone. We have TONS of friends that are preggo right now. It is crazy. Is it crazy that I have a 3 month old and really want to preggo again. Yeah I guess it is! I am thankful for my IUD but part of my heart longs to be preggo again. Maybe one day.

I recently bought a new sewing / embroidery machine and I love it! I never thought I was crafty / artsy but I love using it and it is very relaxing. Now if only I can find a little girl to make things for. I mean sure it is fun to make things for my boys but girls clothes and such are so much more fun to make! Maybe my SIL will have a girl and I can make her all kinds of cute little things. Yep I said SIL. She is preggo and due right after B's 2nd birthday! I couldn't be more excited!!! We love expanding the family and maybe it will cure my baby fever.
Jeremy and Bronner feeing the birds at our recent Zoo trip. Bronner loved it, J not so much!
Well technically I don't really have baby fever. Honestly I just want to be about 32 weeks preggo, feel the baby move, feel great and glowing, and then have those last few weeks before I deliver. Those were the weeks that I love. I know that they are usually the most miserable but they were the greatest for me. I guess I wasn't hooked up to my pump or recovering from surgery. But honestly I really want to deliver again. To see if I can be in more control and experience the "high" of NCB. Yeah you get a high when you don't have an epidural. It is like the "I'm the best mom in the world and I can do anything high". It's a great feeling!! I really hope she has a girl!!

A new pic to end this random post! Just wanted to catch yall up on what has been happening around here and keep up to date for myself! Hopefully I will be more frequent in my postings soon!
Brothers ... getting so big!

Snow Day 2010!

Look for some updated pics on facebook! Way to many cute ones to post on here! IUD day went well too. It really wasn't bad and I was way more nervous that I should have been. How can you get really nervous about getting that little bitty thing put in but not nervous at all about a 14 3/4 cm head coming out without epidural? I don't know. I guess the reward is there during childbirth! Can't wait to do it again but the preggo test was neg today and the IUD is in place per u/s so we will have to wait a few years for that. If I can talk Jerms into it! I mean I would really like to water labor / maybe birth but I dont really think so. But that is a topic for another day! So anyways. Enjoy the snow pics!

Tomorrow is the Day

I am officially 27, Bronner is 15 months, and Sawyer is almost 8 weeks. Wow what a fun and rewarding 8 weeks it has been! I can't believe Feb is halfway over! February 12th is almost here. My IUD day. I am so sad/excited/relieved all at once. Yep sad came first. Part of me would LOVE to have another baby ... a 24 week baby in my belly ... not the 6-20 week part with the puking/reglan zofran pump/po meds/trying to be a new mom and such. Everything after 20 weeks was great but while we are being picky 24 weeks means viability and that is a huge deal so why not skip that part too! We would have 3 under 2. Not a good situation so that is why I am excited. Excited to get my body back for the time being and get back into a little bit better shape. Excited to know that it comes out easily when and if we decide to have more. Yep I said if. Jerms isn't so sure he wants any more. We will see! And relieved that it is finally here and I won't be having 3 under 2. I know a conflict to what I just said, but it's my blog and I can say that, right? What can you say I have been preggo 3 times in 2 years and have lost my mind! Or that is what Jerms says anyways!

The boys are doing wonderfully and are getting so big. Sawyer is holding his head up and starting to sleep a little better. By better I mean like 4 hours at a time. Which is good. Unless you require a lot of sleep and are breastfeeding so dad can't get up. But I am learning to deal with it. Bronner has had a fever/teething thing going on this week so we have skipped school and stayed home. It has been fun learning to be a stay at home mom to 2, one and under! Lots of "NO, don't touch that" and "Please come here" while trying to nurse a baby that wants to eat ALL the time! It is great and I love it!

On another note I go back to work at the end of the month and part of me is ready and part of me is dreading it. Not dreading the taking care of the patients part, I love that especially the natural ones! Dreading the leaving my babies for the night, 3 nights a week, missing my husband and dreading the drama. I mean the home drama that always happens with Jerms due to not seeing each other except in passing and drama at work. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the girls I work with but man we love the drama. I think it is because we are such close friends and we fight, laugh, play, and protect each other like sisters. I can't wait to go back yet it has been nice to seclude myself too. We went to party for the superbowl and I got caught up on all the happenings at work and I felt a little lost/left out so I know I am going to be glad once I get back but boy has it been nice to sit at home on my butt (a very sleepy butt) and not worry about anything! Feb 22nd is the big night ... I'll let you know how it goes!

How can it be?

How can it be that my little guy is almost 7 weeks old, that Bronner is almost 15 months, and that tomorrow I am going to be 27! 27 is scary. That is really close to 30. I don't think I am ready for a 3 to be in front of my age. Maybe by then I can say yep I'm 30 and be proud of it but right now I think I might have an anxiety attack about it.

Anyways over the last few weeks I have been home we have gotten a lot done. Mostly reorganizing and such. Also we are in the process of trying to refinance which is a ton of work and very time consuming when you are trying to do it between taking care of 2 babies. So Bronner has been spending a good bit of time with Mrs Glenda this week so I could get it done. Now as long as our house can appraise in the this market!

Sawyer and Bronner are both growing every day! It is amazing how fast time flies. It doesn't seem like Bronner should be 15 months or that Sawyer should be 7 weeks but I can't imagine life without them! Two friend annouced their pregnancies last night and I am oh so excited but found myself a little jealous too. I know I know I have a 7 weeks old. I sure don't miss the puking but I do miss being pregnant. So girls enjoy it, it is over way too quickly! I really should have listened to Jeremy and my Mom and video taped myself when I was puking, sticking myself 2-3 times a day to change my pump site, and laying in bed on a Reglan pump, taking Zofran every 4-6 hours, and doped up on some Phenegran still puking and working to remember why I don't want to do this again! Hurry up Feb 12 ... I need my IUD!

Below are a few of my favorite pics from our recent professional session! Technically Bronner's one year and Sawyer's newborn pics! Thanks Kelley and Besty!
